Find the gaps, then drill them
AP US History covers more than 500 years in nine periods, and the exam asks you to write about any of them. Review books treat every topic the same; I wanted to spend my time only where I was weak. The diagnostic asks one or two questions per topic across all nine periods and sorts topics into mastered and gaps. Then the Practice page lists every topic by period: I tick the ones I want, choose multiple choice, short answer, long essay or document-based, set a count, and it generates a fresh set in the exam's style.
